On November 18, the entrance to the Chateaubriand school group in Auchel was transformed by the talents of street art artists, Sweo and Nikita. Inaugurated by the municipality, these new colorful frescoes do not fail to attract the eye and beautify the school environment.
An art project for all ages
The frescoes revealed are the result of a collaboration between Montpellier artists Sweo and Nikita, who brought their unique touch to this establishment. Prior to this project, children from the school were asked to give their opinion, thus embodying a direct link between the creative process and the target audience. They chose to represent a teddy on the kindergarten side, while on the primary side, the illustrations highlight books.
A moment of inspiration for future generations
The director of the school, Frédéric Gauthier, welcomed with pleasure Philibert Berrier, the mayor of Auchel, as well as his municipal council, right in the heart of this inauguration. This festive moment was an opportunity to pay tribute to the art and creativity that beautifies the daily lives of children. The frescoes, vibrant and warm, are sure to inspire several generations to come, creating a stimulating learning environment for all.
An environment revitalized thanks to urban art
These works provide a new dimension to the school environment, while highlighting the transformative power of urban art. The renovation of the walls, carried out by the technical services staff, greatly contributed to highlighting these large frescoes. These fully demonstrate the commitment of the city of Auchel to make its spaces more welcoming and attractive.
A project supported by the municipality
The creation of these frescoes would not have been possible without the financial support of CABBALR. This artistic project is therefore part of a critical approach to supporting culture and the daily education of children. By allowing such initiatives to see the light of day, the municipality shows that it values the promotion of local artists and that artistic creation is a real vector of social bond.
